Antique Anglo Indian Ebony & Porcupine Quill box Fitted Interior c1880s
Good general condition, commensurate with the age, as per the photos. Beautifully decorated ebony, rosewood and porcupine quill decorated box. Made in Ceylon in the 1880's. The box requires some attention, there is a lock included with keys to be fitted. Hinges need to be re-attached. Some quills are missing but there are some spare whole quills included in the box. A really interesting piece that can be displayed as is, or could be improved with some gentle restoration.. Great historic piece to use or add to a collection. The photos form part of the description
